1.) Found what I was looking for!!

After several weeks of researching a wireless keyboard and mouse for my HDTV and PC setup I found the perfect product. I needed a product with very good range, no line-of-sight limitations and it had to be very responsive.
WOW.. did Gyration deliver! What a joy to sit way back on the sofa with my feet up and be able to type away and surf the net with a keyboard that does not miss a beat. The feel and response is fantastic. The special keyboard Media keys are a plus and they work fine with the "Firefox" browser.
I was a little hesitate about the "gyroscopic motion-sensing" technology for the mouse but discovered it was quite easy to get a hang of it. The fact that it is an optical mouse as well down played my fears and I find myself using it more and more as an "air" mouse. Pretty cool.
If you are looking for a wireless keyboard and mouse suite to use with a HDTV and PC..this is the one to go with in today's market. I understand Microsoft is coming out with a 2.4 GHz product of their own by early next year but with an expected price tag of over $200 dollars, I didn't feel it was worth the wait or money.
2.) Easy to use

I've used the gyro optical air mouse before and this was to replace that unit which due to wear and tear was missing some key pads. It is the same dependable product and I love the ability to use the mouse "in the air" - reduces wrist fatique and is very flexible.
3.) Great Mouse/Keyboard

I love this Mouse/Keyboard.
I installed it on a rather old machine that I use to browse the internet on my new big screen tv. I sit about 10 feet away from the television and this keyboard and mouse has not let me down. It installed in the matter of minutes.
The Gyro mouse is a LOT easier to use then I expected. It's very sensitve to movement. Just takes a little getting used to, but you'll be rollin' with it in the matter of minutes.
I've not had any problems with connectivity, no interuptions or anything form other devices. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this product.
4.) Read and understand the instructions before writing a review

Well the air mouse and keyboard work flawlessly. I use them on my media PC and absolutely love them. I had to leave a review after reading some of the "less than 5 star" reviews. Unless the thing is broken out of the box than I can't see giving it a bad review.
The 2 things that stuck out were people complaining of things that wouldn't be an issue if the instructions were read and understood. First is the complaint that the cursor drifts and is hard to control. Yea at first, before you read that you need to keep your arm stationary and move nothing but your wrist. Wow then it works perfectly once you get used to it. Second is the battery life issue. The battery will drain if the mouse is left down on a dark surface, as stated in the instructions. I noticed that the laser was sometimes staying lit when i put the mouse down, esp on dark surfaces, because of the sensor that tells the thing to go from "air" to "desktop" mouse. I just leave the mouse on its side so the laser doesn't light up and the battery lasts very long. Only dies when I forget to park it in its cradle for days where I(should)always store it.
All and all this combo is great. The keyboard is fine and its not like your going to be writing novels on the thing, thats what laptops are for. This is great for controlling a PC from afar. For presentations and that sort of thing I'm not sure how it would work(probably fine), but for a media PC you'll be satisfied. After your work is done and its time to relax, not having to get off the couch is priceless. ;)

This keyboard and mouse suite is a really neat product. I enjoy being able to use both items at the desk or sitting on the couch. I have the receiver in one of the rear USB ports on my computer but it does not seem to phase the signal. I thought the point and click function of the mouse would be difficult to get used to but it is very simple. If I can only remember to keep the mouse on the charger when not in use I will be doing well.

8.) Gyration Go Series Full-size Keyboard & Optical Air Mouse 'Sweet'

After the required 8 hour first time charge on the mouse, the set installed without complications.
The Keyboard has a good, positive feel and responds well but not overly responsive to where it creates 'repeeeeeaters' which become annoying.
The Optical Air Mouse is very responsive in the air or on the mouse pad. With its two options for use, I can give my wrist a break and change how I am working with it or easily change it to my other hand.
The 30 foot range is ample for in home use or in a classroom situation. The RF Receiver connected very easily and so far does not exhibit any interference issues with anything else in range.
My experience is that the GyroTools Software that comes with it is only needed if you wish to implement the special button commands and 'swipe' features that give you more options as well as presentation control.
My biggest concern now is WHERE to obtain spare battery and charger and a battery clip for regular batteries like is offered prolifically for the Ultra Series.

I like the device, It took a little practice, but it works great. My PPT presentations mix in 3D cadd programs and on screen calculators, The option to program the swipes is great.
I would give it 5 stars if:
1. it had a built in laser pointer
2. If the programable swipe keys had a small pop up icon box that would remind me what positions functions were programmed to.
other that , the best device I've used

The mouse works great as an optical mouse on my desktop and also as a gyro-mouse.
The keyboard drops keystrokes when I type too quickly. Nearby objects (cell phone, keys, etc.) interfere with keyboard transmission.
11.) Great range, but hard to use the wireless mouse in hand

I got this keyboard for a friend of mine who is a teacher. She uses in a classroom. So range is very important, and this is one of the best keyboards we've found(and we've tried several) for range. The box says anywhere within 30 feet, which it seems to easily do. The hand held mouse can be a bit hard to use, but when using as a regular mouse, it works well. The keyboard works very well.

I've had this mouse and keyboard a little over a year now. It works as advertised, and the flexibility and comfort while using are worthwhile.
The Good: Excellent range and accuracy. Easy setup and operation.
The Bad: Battery life is not good. It lasts only 4-5 hours. I use the computer for watching TV and surfing the net. I have to constantly have it in the charger before use. If it sits out while watching a movie, it will be dead by the time it's over. The keyboard will sometimes miss the first couple keys after waking it up. I just hit the windows key twice to make sure it's paying attention.
Overall, it's a great product. The battery could use improvement. Place the charger on the end table next to the recliner and everything will be fine.
14.) Works well, but won't replace your mouse any time soon

My feelings are very mixed. The keyboard is okay.. passable. I used belkin's "very, very plain keyboard" which was also just.. well, okay. And so for me it wasn't a step up or down. But I can easily say that from a better built keyboard, the build quality is somewhat questionable, although not horrible. What's the best word for this situation.... shall I say, mediocre? The typical membrane keys are somewhat on the clackity noisy side. It also has a the usual "multimedia key" nonesense that I personally never use. Strangely, the driver software only deals with the mouse, and so the multimedia keys are not user customizable. Which completes the damage, and makes the keys totally useless. I would trade up these useless keys for a smaller, more compact keyboard.
Now... the mouse. The meat, the main part. Right out of the box, it didn't work right. Perhaps it was the weak battery, maybe the gyros were adjusting to my cat, I dunno. But the first 30 minutes, the thing was acting all jittery and the mouse kept drifting away. My initial reaction was.. "wow, this thing is sensitive".
I guess I'll give you the bad news first. The thing is a little unpredictable. The main problem is that when the gyro gets un-caliberated, it needs to be put back in its charging cradle for a second or two, and then all is fixed. This does happen sporadically, and unfortunately makes it an unreliable device. This will definitely be a major let down for most people. Who needs an unpredictable mouse?
Also, the left / right mouse buttons on the thing is extremely sensitive. I have no idea why they made it like this. Just the weight of your fingers on the button will trigger it. How dumb is that. And the strangest thing is, their extra function buttons (that you can assign shortcuts to), are normal buttons that don't have the hyper sensitivity problem. The hyper sensitivity is less of an issue when you're using it in air mode. Actually it helps you in air mode since you don't need to press the buttons too much, minimizing mouse shake during clicks.. but with normal desktop use (the thing automatically switches modes), you will most likely be driven insane with the unintentional right mouse clicks.
After a few hours of messing with it though, you do pick up a few tricks that make the thing... actually pretty nice to use. As I was frowning, muttering offensive remarks at the shaking mouse cursor, and generally looking like an idiot, I realized that I don't need to swing around my arm in mid air. Actually, it's more of a flick of the wrist thing, and when my arm is resting on a still surface, such as the arm of the chair, or just dangling from my lap, it stabilizes the mouse to an incredible degree. Actually, the accuracy when used in this way is quite startling. You stop the mouse, and it will completely stop. With very slow movement, I can control the cursor with about 2-3 pixel increments.
The other trick is to use the "trigger" button efficiently. The mouse only does motion sensing when the trigger is pressed. Initially I just kept it pressed the whole time since seeing the mouse move around was cool. But I began to realize that I could use the trigger as sort of "lift the mouse and bring it back over" just like you'd do with a normal mouse. By combining the trigger release with a quick flick of the wrist, one "stroke" would only cover a limited distance, maintaining maximum accuracy, and the wrist can be brought to a new position while the trigger is released, starting the process over again.
And for some strange reason, couple of hours into using the thing, the drifting happens much less. Actually it's pretty much stopped happening. So... I'm not sure what to make of this. If the drifting becomes a chronic issue, this thing is trash. If not... I wouldn't ever use it as a desk top mouse that's for sure. It's red laser (the old laser) optic mouse feature is not bad, but the ergonomics is horrible, not to mention the ultra sensitive buttons. So, my logitec mx laser will do that ankyu very much. But the air feature.. it's growing on me every by the minute. It's definitely new, and it's at a point where it just might work. It's a little frustrating that it didn't pass with flying colors, but at the same time, I'm quite surprised it's works this well.
Verdict: Will not replace a normal desktop mouse. If you need a remote mouse for a media pc, double thumbs up. It's also very good for chilled out web surfing, as you can be in any posture you want. Also for musical (I'm a musician) purposes, as an input device, I'm afraid it might not have the required accuracy since the positioning is sort of relative.

For those of you who want a quick report without reading the details:
Product - Substandard
Technical Support - Outsourced to India; Terrible
Customer Service - Horrible
I purchased this keyboard and mouse set yesterday after reading a lot of reviews about different wireless keyboard/mouse combinations. I charged the mouse for almost 20 hours-12 hours more than is required. I followed the set up instructions. The mouse did not connect and did not show on the screen. I called the technical support hotline after troubleshooting and trying the connect procedures a few times. Warning! This is another company that outsources their support to India and the knowledge of the technicians is abysmal!!! After going through the procedure to connect about 5 times, it was finally determined that my mouse is defective. Their solution? Send the mouse back-at my expense-and they will send me a new one in 7-10 business days.
I gave this company a number of chances to retain me as a customer and they took none of them. Spending $100 on a mouse and keyboard is enough of a hardship without having the product broken out of the box and the customer support so poor that they won't even pay to ship the broken product back at the company's expense. I suppose this explains the 2 year warranty which is less than the 3 year warranty that seems to be the standard on similar products.

Thought this would be great for computing from the recliner...but the air mouse barely works, even with the receiver right next to it on a USB extension cord. My keybord refused to sync after I simply chaged the batteries. This has been a buggy, frustrating mess and I can't imagine how these guys could, in good conscience, release these lousy products. When I get my replacement unit, I will get what I can for it on ebay and buy something from Logitech or Microsoft.
Incidentally, I am an A+ Certified computer tech, so I know when something simply doesn't work. This company makes junk.
